Look of the Day

Emmy was spotted at an L.A. gala in all Donna Karen. I wish she would have done more with her hair but overall, I love it...especially the shoes.

Close But...

Love Blake Lively, LOVE the bow tie blazer, Love the shorts but HATE the shoes.

These Carven shoes would have worked MUCH better.

Spring Trends: Layerd Necklaces

I personally love this trend and wear layers upon layers of necklaces with every outfit I wear. Remember ladies: layer, layer, layer. And just when you think you've layered enough, layer some more.

Ok, I Dont Care Who Knows...I LOVE Emmy Rossum

Just thought I'd let you know.

Donatella Drops 5 Stacks in 10 Minutes

While in New York City, Donatella Versace spent $5,000 in ten minutes at Artsee on various pairs of sunglasses, ranging from $300-$600. Reportedly, Donatella walked in the store and demanded, "This one, that one, oh I love these and those over there." Just as quickly as she came in, she said, "Ciao", and left. Donatella, with that Atelier Versace Spring 2010 Collection, you can spend a million dollars in ten minutes and do no wrong with me.

Style Me: Serena Williams

*deep breath*I WILL give Serena Wiliams credit in one aspect; she tries. But sometimes your efforts are just not enough, mean I know, but its the truth and I'm WELL known for telling the truth. Serena is a 'bigger' girl so she must understand her dimensions and understand them well. I believe she recognizes her body but still does not know how to put herself in the right clothes. Don't get me wrong, I've seen her in beautiful, well put together pieces but more often than not, I'm confused and perplexed at her choices, i.e. the pictures above.
I'd like to accentuate Serena's fit body, but disguise faults with this Derek Lam dress. The dress will accent her full bust line and drape her toned shoulders and arms. The Jimmy Choo booties will place perfect emphasize on her shapely legs. Oh and LOSE that god awful wig. I like the style but the color and the way it is cut does not sit well with me. I'd like to see the bob very precise and the bang clean.

Spotted in Style: Amanda Seyfried in Doo.Ri

Like the dress on her, but I dont like the shoe selection. I think this would have looked better with a different pair of heels, a high shoulder blazer and her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Amanda has been seen a lot on the red carpet as of late; somethings I like and some things I dont. Nevertheless, she's not one dimensional and she's evolving. For now, I'll just wait and see.

Mess of the Day

Mischa whats the problem darling? You used to be one of my best dressed celebrities. This is not the right direction to be heading in doll...not at all.

6,000 pairs of Louboutins!!!???

Yes, ma'am. No typo...6,000 pairs of Christian Louboutins. Like to take a guess at who's the covetable and oh so stylish lady? Novelist Danielle Steele!? Yep, I had that same expression that you're having now. As the shock of not only the quantum of shoes, but the fortuitous maven who bought them wore off, I nodded my head in fashionistic agreement and stated, "Hmmm, so that's what she's spending all of those book stacks on." Danielle has claimed to be the biggest Christian Louboutin fan and states that she flys to Paris to rack up at least 80 pairs in one shopping trip, then states, "Oh what a shame, they didn't have anything I liked". Well Ms. Steel, I'd hate to see your credit card bill when you find something that you do like.

Yay or Nay

Hmmmmm...there a 3 characteristics I look for when shopping for a shoe. Originality, heel detail(a shoe's heel is a deal or deal breaker for me) and distinctiveness. If I'm wearing a shoe and someone does not ask, "Where did you get those from?" Then I'm not doing my job :)
With that said, these Sergio Rossi's are a YAY from me. What about you?

Look of the Day: Zoe Saldana

I love this ENTIRE look. Perfect, laid-back fit for the venue, as she accentuated well throughout the composed style. Bravo Zoe, bravo...

Spotted in Style: Jennifer Love-Hewitt in 3.1 Phillip Lim

It was ok...I guess. Nothing too spectacular about it for me, as I loathed the bag selection. Eh...

Why Haven't I seen this on the Red Carpet yet???

As I viewed Antonio Berardi's Spring 2010 collection, I thought I'd be "spotting in style" repeatedly with this line but I've yet to see a celebrity in these daring dresses. Welp, here's my choices anyhow:
Rihanna
Penelope Cruz
Kristen Stewart
Diane Kruger

Sarah Jessica Parker
Eva Longoria-Parker

Gwyneth Paltrow

Style Me: Ciara

Ciara arguably has some of the best legs in Hollywood, but doesn't know how to accentuate them well. Her stylist continues to choose heavy, rainbow colors on her which does not match her skin nor accent her toned body. I'd place her in this off white Alexander Wang dress but alter the length by bringing it up about 2 more inches so it'd more like a mini dress. The Rick Owens angular leather would match perfectly with the Alexander Wang zipper bootie. She'd look retro and stylistc on the red carpet in this sexy fit.

Model-McDonald

Just because Tyra Banks was at the Kid's Choice Awards did NOT mean she had to be the spokes-model for their favorite fast food joint. Yes, Tyra...I'd like an Oreo McFlurry and two apple pies, thanks in advance.

Attempt and FAIL

Jennifer chose to try something 'new' when she opted for a pink/red-ish Christian La Croix front tie dress. The dress did absolutely nothing for her figure and the color choice was just above dreadful. Jennifer I give you an "A" for effort but this was a gamble and loss.

Balmain, Oh Balmain...How I love Thee...

Balmain is IN! IN! IN! I am in awe and continually amazed at the detail, art and style that Balmain designer Christophe Decarnin continues to exude. The dresses below are some of the most innovative and architectural pieces I've ever seen on a runway while still managing to be easily wearable in every facet. This line has signified a new standard which ALL will strive to meet but very few will come close.

Style Me: Emmy Rossum

Here, Emmy is in a Christian Siriano dress from his Spring 2010 collection. I like her laid back style, as she's never too dramatic but always keeps a nice variety in her wardrobe. I would love to see a nice print on Emmy with her brunette hair slicked back in a chignon or bun of some sort, nothing overbearing, but enough pull to show her beautiful eyes and face.
For Emmy, I'd choose this DKNY sequined jumper because it has all the colors for spring and the boldness for summer.

I'd couple the jumper with a soft pink heel like these gorgeous Charlotte Olympia plat heels.
